The next morning, I reached the academy library, passed through the main entrance and front hall, and entered the reading hall.
The elven craftsmanship is famous for its beauty and exquisiteness, and their buildings naturally follow this style, especially this library.
The library area was not much big, but it has five floors. From the outside, it almost looks like a circular tower and the inside has a hollow structure in the middle. Reading hall was located in the center, the area of the upper floor had wide aisles close to the wall. The bookshelves were integrated with the wall in the form of a closet. The tables and chairs were arranged at the bottom. Looking up, you could see the transparent crystal dome and the blue sky above it. The huge palace-like space and the natural lighting from the transparent dome give people an unusual sense of liberation and make people feel relaxed and happy.
The library of the academy where I studied in the past was just a warehouse for books and scrolls. — most of the orcs still rely on nomadism and hunting for their livelihoods. Naturally, they’re no match against these ancient elves in terms of construction.
When I came in, I was the only one in the vast reading hall.
Due to the habit of choosing a seat in the canteen and classroom, I went straight to the corner and sat down. The chair designed for the thin elf made an unpleasant noise under my buttock, but I didn’t care much. I immediately took out my books, opened them, and began to concentrate on studying them. Currently, I am pressed for time, and not a second could be wasted.
Once you focus on something, time passes away very quickly.
“Classmate Brock, you’re already here.” I don’t know how much time passed, and suddenly Princess Alssya’s voice took my attention from the book.
I looked up and saw the other person had already sat down opposite me.

“Classmate Brock, you came so early.” with a smile, princess Alyssa gently placed her uniquely patterned bag on the chair next to her, “classmate Angelica… still didn’t come.”
Yesterday, she invited me here to prepare for the exam together. A major reason probably was that she wanted to use this opportunity to invite Angelica.

Then she took out the tea set from her bag and put it on the table.

“Huh? Is it strange?” Princess Alyssa tilted her head and looked puzzled, “ generally it is just the start of the first class at this time during weekdays.”
“I’ve been meaning to say this for a long time… the class starts a little late every morning in this academy.”
“But this is the standard schedule in this country. Isn’t the orc academy like this?”
“We start training at seven o’clock.”
“Seven o clock?” princess Alyssa covers her mouth with an unbelievable expression, “with all due respect, this seems…. A little inhumane.”
“That’s not true. I remember that the human country’s academy schedule time is the same as ours. On the contrary, I think you guys are a little sloppy”
“Sloppy? Ah, I often hear that other races judge us like this.” princess Alyssa smiled, “Maybe, it’s because we have longer lifespans.”
Elves have a lifespan that other races can’t match. It takes 150 years to turn into an adult. This is almost enough for orc and humans to go through two lives. Even dwarves would be approaching their twilight years by this time.
Indeed, it was not strange that such a race developed a mild and undisciplined temperament.
“Ah, no wonder…” I suddenly understood something and nodded involuntarily.
“No wonder what?”
“No wonder the test content was less than expected.” I picked up the book lying in front of me and shook it, “Yesterday, I roughly looked through the exam topics and concepts of the year-end exam of the general subjects, and found that they were almost the same as what I had learned in the academy for a month in the past.”
Come to think of it, the whole term of elf highest studies was 30 years long, and it seems that teaching progress here also inherits the slowness of these elves. The total lesson time was half compared to our orc academy in a day, and after every three days of class, there will be two rest days.
When taking this situation, it was not impossible to enter the top 20 in ten days and win the bet with Rolanna, but the situation was still grim.
“Read through all the test topics? Your review speed is very fast!” Princess Alyssa blinked in surprise, then noticed the content in my book, “ah you have already started doing sample questions?”
“Well…. It is impossible to master all the knowledge in only ten days. So I can only try to get more points by doing the question types. I graduated from the tribe academy with the highest score, and also trained in the warrior camp, so I have some experience in learning methods and planning.”
“Let me see. Do you have any doubts?” She became interested, put down the tea set, walked around the table, stood behind me, and leaned forward over my shoulder to look at the topic I was working on.
Due to the height difference, even when I sat down she was not much taller than me, the end of her long flowing hair touched my shoulder.
Vaguely… I could smell the light fragrance of flowers.
