“…so to say, words of different parts of speech are combined in different ways, but conversely, as long as the characteristics of those speeches are remembered, it is easier to distinguish the usage. That’s what the question is about, and it should probably also appear in this examination.” Princess Alyssa patiently finished her explanation and handed me a notebook with questions in it.
“That’s it, I understood.” I nodded.
“I hope I was able to help you.” the princess smiled politely.
I feel like I have been learning for a long time.
I looked at the wall clock again and unexpectedly found that it was already two ‘ o’clock in the afternoon.
I looked up and found that the sun had already risen above my head. The seemingly transparent crystal dome seems to hide some mystery that could adjust the light. Normally speaking, the hot sun in the summer afternoon was not only dazzling but also peels off the layer of skin. However, the sunlight after passing through the dome feels extremely soft, almost the same as the early morning sun, making it difficult to notice the change of time.
Realizing that the mealtime has already passed, the body’s response followed.
I haven’t had lunch yet, so I felt a little hungry…
Although I had some snacks brought by princess Alyssa, the portion was better than nothing to me.
Before the troops move, fodder and provision go first, on a hungry stomach battle cannot be fought.
“Well, it feels like time is up. Let’s stop here for today.” I tried to mention that “I’m hungry.”
Princess Alyssa looked back at the wall clock and said, “ah, it’s already time. Classmate Brock, had breakfast every early right? Well, I happened to have some doubts, so I’m going to ask the professor.”
After saying this, she organized her textbooks and tea set in an orderly manner.
When I packed up and walked away from the table, princess Alyssa suddenly said, “I had a wonderful time today. How about coming back here to review tomorrow?”
“This, I can’t…” I hesitated and refused.
“Do you have some different plans?” she tilted her head and asked.
“It’s not that, it’s just…” I subconsciously looked towards the direction of the door.
Princess Alyssa followed my gaze.
Till this time, we were the only ones sitting in the huge reading hall.
Even though most of the time I was immersed in revision, I would occasionally notice other students stepping into the reading hall and turning away after seeing me.
Princess Alyssa turned her face back and sighed softly, “didn’t I just say? It’s not something that you should mind.”
“No, I don’t care about them anymore. I am worried… about your reputation.”
Princess Alyssa was visibly stunned.
When I looked at those flinching elven girls, I noticed that I was not the only one who got weird eyes from them, but also Princess Alyssa, who was sitting opposite to me. Every student who saw her looked at her incredulously.
On the day when I first entered the academy and met, the misunderstanding and rumors that arose due to me had caused her trouble.
“People’s gossip is a terrible thing. You should understand that if you sit with me, even you will be criticized. You invited me mainly so as to invite Angelica since she doesn’t want to come. There’s no need for you to —”
“If you say that, I am going to be angry.” she suddenly stood up.
I stared blankly at princess Alyssa who suddenly became serious. I was at a loss for a while.
After a moment later, she let out another sigh and her face softened, “All right, classmate Brock, I understand what you mean. I am going to say it directly, I don’t care about this kind of thing. And, although I really wanted to get close to Angelica, I invited you to really help you and it has nothing to do with her.”
“But…”
“Lantiasville, Olvando,” she said.
