Chapter-22

At sunset, I put the things I had prepared into my sack and carried them to the open sandy ground behind the academy building.

The other party has already been waiting there, but, contrary to what I thought, there wasn’t just one elf standing there.

“So, it was you?” I recognized the other party.

With long blonde hair and a smile filled with malicious intention, I was invited by Felina, the female student who had quarreled with Princess Alyssa in the morning.

And the followers one, two, and three were standing behind her.

“Oh, he unexpectedly came.” She raised the corners of her mouth.

The three followers standing behind also sneered.

“Oh, My god this orc doesn’t know the immensity of earth and heaven, he really thought he would receive a love letter…”

“Look, he is carrying a bag with him, did he bring a gift?”

“Really funny…haha.”

Huh? What are these guys talking about?

“I’m sorry to disappoint you. The letter I gave you is a Challenge letter!” Felina looked at me with sharp eyes, “I don’t know what’s wrong with that Rolanna. She let a lowly species like you enter into this place. I heard that on the first day when you came here you made a sensation. Now let me teach you well. In this academy there can be only one leader…” she suddenly raised her hand and pointed her thumb towards herself, “it’s me Felina.”

“Come on, sister Felina.”

“Teach that orc!”

“Make him understand his position!”

Followers one, two, three echoed out in the back.

“I am unable to understand what you guys are trying to express? In short, that was really a challenge letter, right?” I had no interest in this sort of  inexplicable pre-battle dialogue, so I simply cut to the chase, “Then, don’t dawdle, I can’t wait.”

“Ah?” for some reason she paused for a moment and didn’t seem to react for a while.

“Thinking about those days, I accepted no less than 300 challenges in the Tribe’s academy, and I have never lost. I really didn’t expect that in the elven academy I would receive a challenge letter. I thought only we orcs have the after the class tradition of fighting a duel, really miss those memories.”

At that time, I was the strongest trainee warrior among the students of my age. When I was studying in the academy, other students who coveted the title of ‘The strongest warrior’ came to swap pointers with me.

It was just that our challenge letter was not written as genteel as she wrote. Basically, the most used phrase was, ‘If you have the strength, don’t leave after school.’

I put down the sack and took out the resulting work of my entire afternoon.

“Hurry up, my stick is already  hungry and thirsty!”

I took out a smoothly shaped stick and slammed it on the sand with a strong force. With a loud sound, the sand flew up.

“Come on, let’s fight to the heart’s content!” I fired up and shouted at the four elves who had all turned pale for some reason.

Standing there, Felina froze for a long time and finally responded: “I want to ask…” she licked her lips, “from the start did you think it was a challenge letter?”

“Of course, what other possibilities could there be for that quietly delivered big worded invitation letter other than being a challenge letter?”

In the orc tribe, the open and fair challenge was a sacred and important matter.

She moved her gaze towards the stick in my hand and said, “then this thing in your hand… is for?”

“As you can see, it is a weapon to be used for the duel.”

Generally speaking, if you want to ask for a duel, one should bring their own weapon.

“That, this is just a simple comparison” she gulped, “there is no need to fight with life, right?”

“Fight with life? What are you talking about? It is just a very normal and safe training weapon.”

This guy could really joke. Even we know how to play safe during the comparison.

“What a joke” she shouted out, “This stick will blow the head if you swing it down!”

“How could it be possible?” I picked up the stick and thumped it onto my chest, “look, there is nothing, just a little pain.”

“Don’t compare me to your rough thick-skinned orcs!”
